Medical Disclaimer
READ THIS FIRST. IF YOU THINK YOU OR YOUR BABY MAY BE IN DANGER, STOP USING EVERWOVEN AND GET HELP NOW.
Call your local emergency number (911 in the United States), go to the nearest emergency room, or contact your doctor or midwife immediately. Everwoven is not an emergency service and must never be used to decide whether an emergency exists.
In one sentence: Everwoven offers general encouragement, scripture, and educational information for your pregnancy journey — it is not medical advice, not a medical device, not a diagnosis, and not a substitute for professional medical care, and nothing in it should ever replace, delay, or override the guidance of your own qualified healthcare provider.

1. Everwoven is not medical advice
The information, scripture, devotionals, weekly development descriptions, size comparisons, tips, articles, checklists, affirmations, and any other material provided through Everwoven (collectively, the "Content") is offered for general informational, educational, inspirational, and devotional purposes only. The Content is not intended to be, and must not be treated as, medical advice, clinical guidance, a medical opinion, a diagnosis, a treatment plan, a recommendation, or a professional service of any kind.
Everwoven does not practice medicine, nursing, midwifery, or any other licensed healthcare profession, and does not provide healthcare services. The Content is general in nature and is not tailored to you, your body, your pregnancy, your medical history, your medications, or your individual circumstances. What is typical for one pregnancy may be wrong, unsafe, or even dangerous for another. Only a qualified healthcare professional who can examine you and knows your full history can give you medical advice.
2. No doctor–patient or provider relationship
Using Everwoven, reading the Content, entering information, or communicating with us does not create a doctor–patient, midwife–patient, nurse–patient, therapist–client, or any other healthcare provider relationship between you and Everwoven or anyone associated with it. We are not your healthcare provider. We cannot and do not monitor your pregnancy, your health, the data you enter, or your baby's wellbeing, and you should never assume that anyone at Everwoven is watching your data or will reach out if something looks wrong.
3. Emergencies — do not use Everwoven
EVERWOVEN IS NOT FOR EMERGENCIES. If you experience or suspect any of the following, contact emergency services or your provider immediately and do not wait for or rely on anything in the app:
heavy or bright-red bleeding; severe or constant abdominal or pelvic pain; a sudden decrease or absence of your baby's movement; leaking or gushing of fluid; severe headache, vision changes, or sudden swelling; fever; fainting; trouble breathing; chest pain; thoughts of harming yourself or your baby; or any other symptom that worries you. When in doubt, call your provider. It is always okay to call.
4. The tracking tools are convenience features, not medical instruments
Everwoven includes optional self-tracking tools — including a kick counter ("First Dances"), a contraction timer ("Labor of Love"), a weight tracker, a symptom/mood/water/sleep log, a bump-photo timeline, and optional blood-pressure and blood-sugar fields. These tools simply record and display the numbers and notes you choose to enter. They are convenience features for your own use and reflection. They are not calibrated medical instruments, they do not measure anything themselves, they are not validated for clinical accuracy, and they must not be used to diagnose, screen for, rule out, monitor, or manage any condition, nor to decide whether or when to seek care. Always share your readings and concerns with your provider, and follow your provider's instructions over anything shown in the app.
5. Fetal movement and the kick counter
Never use the kick counter to reassure yourself that your baby is fine. The kick counter does not and cannot assess your baby's wellbeing. If you notice your baby moving less than usual, or you are worried about your baby's movements for any reason, contact your provider or labor & delivery unit right away — do not wait, do not "give it more time," and do not rely on any number, message, or absence of an alert in Everwoven. You know your baby best. Trust your instincts and call.
Any calm or gentle messaging in the app (for example, a suggestion to rest or hydrate) is general encouragement only and is not a clinical assessment, an "all clear," or a reason to delay contacting your provider.
6. The contraction timer does not determine labor
The contraction timer records the timing of contractions you start and stop. It does not and cannot tell you whether you are in labor, whether labor is real or false, how far along your labor is, or whether or when to go to the hospital. Only your provider can make those determinations. Follow the specific instructions your provider has given you about when to call and when to come in, and call them whenever you are unsure.
7. Optional health-log fields (blood pressure, blood sugar, symptoms)
Any blood-pressure, blood-sugar, symptom, mood, weight, or similar fields are provided solely so you can keep your own personal notes, often to share with your provider. Everwoven does not interpret these values, does not flag abnormal values, does not alert anyone, and provides no clinical thresholds. A value that appears "normal" in your notes may still require urgent attention, and Everwoven will not tell you so. Discuss all readings with your provider and follow their guidance.
8. Educational and devotional content
Weekly "what is happening with your baby and body," size comparisons, articles, tips, and similar material are generalized summaries compiled from public and secondary sources and are simplified for encouragement. They may be incomplete, may not apply to you, and may not reflect the most current medical understanding. Devotional and scripture content is offered for spiritual encouragement and is not medical, psychological, or professional advice. Scripture is quoted from the World English Bible (public domain).
9. Mental health, grief, and pregnancy loss
Everwoven is a supportive, faith-centered companion. It is not a mental-health service, counseling service, crisis line, or substitute for professional mental-health or grief care. Its pregnancy-loss features and any related scripture are offered for gentle, compassionate support only and are not clinical care.
If you are struggling with your mental health, grief, or thoughts of harming yourself, please reach out to a qualified professional or a crisis line. In the United States, you can call or text 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline) at any time, or call 911 in an emergency. If you are outside the United States, please contact your local emergency number and your local crisis or mental-health service.
10. No reliance; your decisions are your own; assumption of risk
You should never disregard, avoid, or delay seeking professional medical advice, and you should never make or change any health decision, because of anything you read, see, calculate, track, or experience in Everwoven. Any action you take based on the Content or the tools is taken at your own risk. To the fullest extent permitted by law, you knowingly and voluntarily assume all risks associated with your use of the Content and tools and with any reliance on them.
11. No guarantee of accuracy, completeness, or availability
The Content and tools are provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including any implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, accuracy, or non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Content is accurate, current, complete, reliable, or error-free, or that the Service or its calculations (including week/day, due-date, and any timers or counters) will be uninterrupted, available, or correct. Due dates and weeks are estimates only.
12. Not a regulated medical device
Everwoven is intended to be a general-wellness, educational, and devotional product. It is not intended to diagnose, cure, mitigate, treat, or prevent any disease or condition, and it is not intended to be a medical device under the U.S. Food, Drug, and Cosmetic Act or under the laws of any other jurisdiction. Everwoven is not a HIPAA-covered entity and does not provide healthcare; see our Privacy Policy for how your information is handled.
13. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Everwoven and Jeremy Dudley, and their owners, officers, employees, contractors, contributors, and suppliers, will not be liable for any injury, loss, claim, or any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages of any kind arising out of or relating to your use of, or inability to use, the Content or the tools, or any reliance on them — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. This Section is part of, and subject to, the limitations and disclaimers in our Terms of Service. Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so some of these may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
14. Your acknowledgment
By using Everwoven, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to this Medical Disclaimer; that you understand Everwoven is not medical advice and not a substitute for professional care; and that you will rely on your own qualified healthcare provider for all medical decisions about you and your baby. If you do not agree, please do not use the Service.
One more time, because it matters most: when something feels wrong, do not turn to this app for an answer — call your doctor or midwife, or your local emergency number. Always.
